Notes: This recipe is loaded with benefits (see below)
Turmeric: and its active ingredient curcumin are great for fighting inflammation and supporting heart and brain health. *Combine the turmeric with black pepper for better absorption.
Black Pepper: the active component in black pepper (piperine) helps with the absorption of curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric.
Ginger: is great for alleviating digestive discomfort (gas, bloating) is immune-boosting, and helpful in lowering inflammation and fighting the common cold and flu.
Cinnamon: loaded with antioxidants is another great anti-inflammatory spice, easily incorporated into smoothies, oatmeal, baking, and more!! It’s also been proven to lower blood sugar and has a powerful anti-diabetic effect.
Ashwagandha: (be still my beating heart) is my savior when it comes to minimizing stress! It also helps to enhance focus, reduce irritability, boost mental stamina, and curb cravings.
Coconut oil: for immune support and antibacterial properties has been shown to reduce candida, fight bacteria and create a hostile environment for viruses.
Combining turmeric with a fat source (such as coconut oil) enables the curcumin to be directly absorbed into the bloodstream so it bypasses the liver making it more bio-available which means you get even more of its benefits!!
